Since I was a kid, I have always loved to tell stories. To no one's surprise, I ended up becoming a creative storyteller, gaining experience and awards in the advertising industry for over 9 years. Working at media and creative agencies alike, closely collaborating with content producers, media outlets, tech startups, research teams, and on my own creative endeavors, I have excelled in making these stories I love to tell effectively connect with people and win their hearts.

 

In my journey as a creative professional, I've helped global and local brands push for innovation, and together we've produced high impact, award-winning work that has helped me build top-level expertise in branding, advertising strategy, content creation and production, digital marketing, social media, visual design, and many other useful skills in the communication industry.

 

To keep pushing the boundaries in my creative work and feed my never-ending curiosity, I recently obtained my master's degree in Digital Fabrication for Interaction at the Istituto Europeo di Design Madrid, where I explored the application of different technologies in the design of new, customized mediums. My goal is to combine my passion for storytelling and the potentials of these technologies to find unique ways to engage and communicate.

 EXPERIENCE 

 

Head of Invention  – Groupm Dominicana  |   Santo Domingo, December 2017- September 2019

 

  • Lead the Creative Services and Production unit for the 3 agencies in the group (Mindshare, Wavemaker, Mediacom). - Creative direction, strategic support, and project management: Coordination of third parties suppliers, in-house teams, and other agencies to ensure the proper implementation of every idea. Also management of production budgets.

  • Local and international clients: Combustibles Total, Colgate-Palmolive, Kimberly-Clark, Bayer, Unilever, KFC, FrieslandCampina, Henkel y Molinos Modernos. Experience working on local adaptations of global/regional campaigns for the Caricom market (DR, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, and Puerto Rico).

  • Acquisition of new business (creative, production, or else): Contributed to win the pitch for the Claro account (Telecom Service, second-largest advertiser in the country).

Senior Creative Copywriter - Pagés BBDO |  Santo Domingo, July 2015 – December 2017

 

Leading the conceptualization, development, and implementation of integrated communication strategies for clients such as Tiendas La Sirena -biggest retail chain in the country-, Volkswagen, and ARS Humano. In this period, our work was awarded in several international advertising festivals including Cannes Lions, El Sol, The One Show, and Effie Awards. ​ See some of these projects here, here, and also here.

Working hand in hand with the Creative Director, I had the chance to oversee the day-to-day work of two junior copywriters and 4 designers in my team.

Invention, Creative and Content - Mindshare Dominicana (Groupm)  |  Santo Domingo, July 2011 - July 2015

 

  • Development and implementation of disruptive creative formats, mostly for traditional media, and content strategies in digital channels. Clients included: Nestlé, Diageo, Combustibles Shell, Kimberly Clark, Bayer, Grupo CCN, SC Johnson, among others.

  • Design of visually impactful presentations for media and creative proposals.

  • Broadcast programming for 4 time-slots owned by the agency in Color Visión 9, a national tv channel:     

    • On one of these time slots, we helped launch the first season of Andariego TV (produced by Mango Verde Producciones). ​ Being the link between producers and agency, I was in charge of finding sponsorship opportunities on the show for our clients.
